2020 Raptor Research Foundation Conference “Wings to Fly” Travel Award

The 2020 Raptor Research Foundation Annual Conference will be held in Boise, Idaho on 4-8 October 2020 and will be hosted by The Peregrine Fund, with in partnership from Boise State University, Intermountain Bird Observatory, Birds of Prey National Conservation Area Partnership, Golden Eagle Audubon, and USGS Idaho. Thanks to generous sponsors, a number of international travel assistance awards will be made to qualified students and researchers to increase opportunities for collaboration and learning and thus, the overall impact of this conference.

To be eligible to receive an award, applicants must submit an abstract to present a paper or poster at the 2020 conference. Travel awards will only be given to those who have had their abstract accepted by the RRF scientific committee.

  • International applicants will be notified of the committee’s funding decisions by mid-March 2020.
  • Domestic applicants will be notified of the committee’s funding decisions by mid-June 2020.
Travel Award recipients will receive a discount code for 100% off their conference registration (see Conference Registration page for information on pricing based on career stage and RRF member status). Applicants must be able to pay for remaining conference costs in advance and will be reimbursed for approved expenditures at the conference in October. Most awards will not cover all expenses so applicants are encouraged to find additional funding sources to support attendance at the conference. All international applicants are responsible for acquiring a visa and/or any other travel documents necessary to enter the United States.
